Beginnings OCTOBER, captures the fleeting nature of memories, solidifying them in concrete and oak and marble as if freezing a moment in time like a photograph. Carved in just 30 minutes, the piece embodies raw emotion and spontaneity, reflecting on the transition from endings to fresh starts.
The abstract form, with its smooth curves and hollowed spaces, suggests both absence and presence, what is lost and what remains. The marbled texture of the concrete conveys movement, as if memories are dissolving into the past while simultaneously shaping the future. Resting on a solid oak base, the sculpture is grounded, offering a sense of stability amidst change.
