RAISE THE BAR

This sculpture captures a moment of emotional awakening an encounter that left a trace, and the quiet transformation that followed. The layered marbles rise like a story told in fragments: lived, felt, and slowly understood.

The top layer, deep black and anchoring, holds the core memory, an intense moment that stirred discomfort and vulnerability. Below it, a beige segment offers a breath of reflection, the pause after intensity, where clarity begins to take shape. Another layer of black follows, softened now, less
heavy an echo rather than a weight. And finally, the white marble at the base: the return to self, to stillness, to a peace that wasn’t given but found.

Memory 11 is a sculptural meditation on the layered nature of inner growth. It reflects how even fleeting moments ones that challenge our sense of safety can shift our path entirely, guiding us toward deeper understanding and quiet strength.
