PARIS CEMENTERY

Memory 14 is a sculptural elegy composed in deep black marble, anchored by a single white foundation. Its forms rise with quiet strength, each layer an echo of endings and the fragile clarity that follows.

This piece was born from a moment of silence after emotional rupture: a walk through a Parisian cemetery, where love was quietly laid to rest. In that setting surrounded by time, stone, and memory the artist met not despair, but a deeper version of herself. The black forms speak of grief, not only for
someone else, but for the self that was shed. The white base, almost unnoticed at first, carries the piece with grace: the part that held firm, that chose rebirth over bitterness.

Every element is sculpted to honor the complexity of
transformation not as a neat resolution, but as a layered unfolding. Memory 14 is not about loss, but about finding solid ground in its wake. It is the metaphorical walk away from what once was, into the subtle radiance of becoming.
