Memory 4 – The Last Hug was born from the memory of the final embrace shared with the artist’s father—a moment suspended in time that marked both an ending and the beginning of profound personal transformation.
What followed was a two-year journey of rediscovery, quietly etched into the sculpture’s form. Starting from its thinnest, most delicate edge, the piece gradually expands into a full, continuous circle—a visual reflection of grief slowly unfolding into strength, clarity, and self-renewal.
The abstract design captures the weight and warmth of that last hug, preserving the emotional imprint of love and loss. Carved by hand in concrete, the material offers both fragility and permanence—echoing the enduring presence of those
we love, even after they’re gone.
Minimal yet deeply evocative, this piece invites quiet
reflection and remembrance. The Last Hug is a tribute to the kind of love that shapes us forever.
