This sculpture, titled Memory of a Hike to The Window, captures the essence of an 18-hour journey through the San Luis Potosí desert—an experience of endurance, transformation, and self-discovery. Inspired by the challenging ascent to La Ventana at 2,000 meters above sea level, this piece reflects the interplay between pushing physical limits and embracing inner change.

Carved entirely from concrete, the sculpture preserves this moment like a photograph, embodying both the solitude of the vast landscape and the depth of introspective conversations shared with a Zen master along the way. Its abstract form suggests both presence and absence—each carved space representing the steps taken, the fears faced, and the clarity found. The marbled texture of the concrete mirrors the shifting desert terrain, evoking movement and impermanence.

Minimal and evocative, this piece is designed for serene, contemporary spaces, where its presence serves as a quiet reminder that every path walked—no matter how challenging—leads to transformation.
